TRADITIONAL BALSAMIC VINEGAR OF REGGIO EMILIA PDO - NEW SERIGHAPH PACKAGE 250 ml LIMITED AND NUMBERED SERIES
Each series consists of about 200 pieces of blown-glass bottles with a capacity of 250 ml, screen-printed with original design and serial number.
All the screen-prints show the historical episode that we have chosen, that of the Marquis Bonifacio, father of Matilde of Canossa, who gives a silver cask containing precious vinegar to King Henry III in year 1046 AD
Episode recounted in “Vita matildis”, the biography of the life of the Countess Matilde, written by monk Donizone in 1046 AD. It is the first historical sources where we can find a description of unique and valued vinegar in the Reggio Emilia area.
The idea is based on the ability to change the event stylistically .
1° SERIE GL12 – N. BOTTLES 196
For this first series GL12, now finished, we have chosen to represent the scene with the traditional medieval costumes. On the other side we quoted the famous signature of Matilde di Canossa in the original frame.

For this second series has been chosen the representation with Louis XV-style costumes. The second drawing is the withdrawal of the balsamic vinegar by historians barrels.
